“Rookie”

I Wasted my life

never leaving the house

Afraid of the world

thinking they'd tear me down

I heard Billy Joel sing,

there's so much I might have done

And that's when it hit me,

I don't want to die young

I want to venture out I'm a rookie,

it's my first time trying new things

Left the bubble, won't you go easy on me

I'm a rookie, a little late to the party

It's okay though,

I'm just glad to grab a drink

I'm a rookie

I'm Reading the books

I used to write off

I'm Talking to people

I used to look down on

I'm out in the world,

and it's good to discover

My black and white life,

looks way better in color

I'm never going back

I'm a rookie,

it's my first time trying new things

Left the bubble,

won't you go easy on me

I'm a rookie,

a little late to the party

It's okay though,

I'm just glad to grab a drink

I'm a rookie

I cry when he's singing

there's so much I might have done

Then I open my curtain

and feel the warmth of the sun

The best is yet to come

I'm a rookie,

it's my first time trying new things

Left the bubble,

won't you go easy on me

I'm a rookie,

a little late to the party

It's okay though,

I'm just glad to grab a drink

I'm a rookie
